This new edition of Rudolf Steiner’s “Bridge Lectures” is published to mark the 100th anniversary of Anth-roposophic Medicine in 2020.The “Bridge Lectures” were given by Rudolf Steiner in December 1920 in Dornach and were especially re-commended to young physicians and later to other therapeutic professions as an introduction to the foundations of the anthroposophical understanding of the human being and the world. It is a description that embeds the human organism in the concept of the four elements and the four types of ether, before illustrating how this organism awakens through sta-ges of becoming conscious to the soul abilities of thinking, feeling and will. This thus touches upon the two cardinal questions: How does the spirit and the soul work in the physical organism? And how can a contemporary bridge be found between the scientific approach and the spiritual and moral dimension of man?
